you mean my Celiac, diabetes, throat lesion and bone spur? All still rearing their ugly heads.
Celiac is literally kicking my ass still. I'm still sick from it and reacting to even gluten-free stuff. I figured out a big part of it about a week ago. It's the water at my house!! Either it is well water or treated water (I live at the end of a 4 mile road in the mountains). Only took me 4 months to realize it damnit!! I never get sick in the Bay Area when I visit and I don't get sick at my sister's, but I do at my own house. The only thing I drink is water and one diet soda a day with Splenda. Water all day and night.
Diabetes is kicking my ass too. Had to change Docs 'cause my Doc wasn't listening to me. I had asked him to test me for Celiac last September, but he blew me off. I finally insisted in March after being sick as a dog constantly, and sure enuf, I was right and his stuborness cost me another 6 months of damage to my small intestine and I'm even more highly reactive. I just found out also that Celiac causes malabsorption of your food because of the small intestine being so damaged, and it can push you into diabetes!! FUCKING A BUBBA!!! Then, I'm allergic to sulfa, and he prescribes a diabetic medication that is sulfa based -- Walgreen's wouldn't release it to me because they know I'm allergic, I told him I was allergic, but he prescribed it anyway!! Got me a new Doc now!! He actually LISTENS to me!! Ran a bunch of blood tests on me last week, and I see him Friday to discuss. I know one thing his nurse told me today on the phone -- I came back deficient in Vitamin D, but that's alls I know right now. Have to go for diabetes education too, but it makes it doubly hard for me to follow a diabetic diet when I have Celiac and can't eat much. I'm living on BBQ chicken and salad right now. So flippin' frustrated!! Can't wait to see the dietician and figure out a good eating plan for me.
Throat lesion is still there, I'm thinking it might be from the contaminated drinking water, and my bone spur is aching like a bitch. I found out the bone spur is probably from the Celiac too, my body can't process vitamins and minerals right, so it sloughed the calcium off into my freakin' foot!! Hurts more than my back if possible.
Other than that, things are SWELL!! Aren't ya glad you asked???? I honestly didn't realize how bad it really is until I started writing!!
Not sure how much more I can take!!! God bless ya for asking kid!!
